Barex Tricolife Serum

Picture_2_3 Living near the ocean we often forget just how stressed hair can get when subjected to dry climates. Compound that with a little bit of altitude and you have classic Colorado hair static.

Our hair has been going wild ever since we came home for our Holiday break. Thankfully we rediscovered Barex Tricolife Serum. We had purchased it a few years back after an obsession with blonde highlights made us frizz prone. We had left the jar at home one season because we wanted to carry on our bags. And to think if we hadn't left it we might be facing all this static and freeze with no product to save us!

Origins Rich Rewards™ Intensive Moisture Treatment For Scalp and Hair

The changes in seasons always sends our hair for a loop. But lately we have been having a worse time with our scalp. Nothing like a little stress eczema to make you feel bad about your locks! But Origins Rich Rewards™ Intensive Moisture Treatment For Scalp and Hair is miraculously soothing to not only dry hair but an itchy scaly scalp.

Originspear
Once weekly (though we say use it as often as feels good), after shampooing massage a handful of this rich cream into scalp and finger through hair to ends.

The Wheat Protein is great for  hair health but vitamins E and A really do wonders for the scalp. Plus it smells like Pear, a fruit that is at its best in the late fall months. It makes us want to settle in for half an hour with a good magazine and a nice bowl of Bartletts or maybe an D'anju or two!

Beauty Classic: VO5 Moisturixing Hot Oil Treatment

We used to dye our hair blond despite our natural deep brunette's lovely hue. Don't ask, we enjoyed the tan skinned blond haired sorority thing. But despite our constant heat and foil abuse our hair was still healthy. How? We used an old staple treatment VO5 Moisturizing Hot Oil Treatment. So this fall even though we love the crisp crackling of brown leaves and warm fires of the seasonHotoil make sure your hair doesn't do the same!

Warren Tricomi Pure Strength Cabana Collection Hair Shield

I wonder why it is that in the summer we are bombarded with beauty products to protect our locks from the elements but in the winter when we arguably face worse problems from the elements we are never pitched products for the other extreme? To resolve this strange dilemma I have been trying out Warren Tricomi's Cabana Collection Hair Shield on my winter hair.

Hairshield

This light, oil free, and organic spray, can be used on dry or wet hair and comes with an SPF shield made from extracts of Sea Algae, Cactus, Chamomile, Comfrey, Nettle, Lavender, and amino acids that strengthen and shield hair.

I have found that my otherwise dry winter hair has been reacting quite well to this organic protective shield. I have been using it in place of other styling products (my usual habit is volumizing) and when air drying or blow drying it leaves a nice clean sheen. Now as the title "Cabana" would suggest it is meant as a beach styling and protection product but we face quite a bit of sun and very bracing weather right here in the middle of the winter. Skier or surfer, we all face nasty weather right? I would suggest this product weather you are a snow or sun bunny frankly.

Bb Treatment Damage Therapy Masque

The marketing savvy of the House of Bumble is a sight to behold. New York Fashion Week was one of the coldest and driest of the year, so what did the B&B team opt to give out at several of the runway shows in their beautiful and light filled showroom? Bb Treatment products! Many happy editors took home vats of Bb Treatment Damage Therapy Masques to help revive their winter locks.

I recently tried out the masque myself. I didn't feel like drying myself off and hanging in the bathroom for the full 10 minutes suggested on the directions so I just spent some extra time being sudsy in the shower, which hopefully didn't ruin the treatment. Furthermore, I am in real need of a haircut so my locks are extra dry meaning it was certainly time for a treatment of this nature.

The white cream wasn't quite as thick as I would have imagined. It felt more like a regular conditioner than an intensive masque. But I am sure the underlying ingredients mean more than its texture. A few hours after treatment my hair feels better. It is softer and slightly less "crispy" but not quite the dramatic rejuvenation I had hoped for with a product like this. However, my boyfriend tried it out and his hair looks fantastic! Which may well mean it is time for me to just get a haircut already.

Kiehl's Pathenol Protein Hair Conditioner

With all of the styling products out there sometimes it is nice to discover a simple solution for low maintenance hair. Kiehl's Panthenol Protein Hair Conditioner Softener and Grooming Aid may have a long name but it is a quick hair solution for those of us who like our wash and wear hair shiny, soft, and naturally styled.

A light, oil-free liquid conditioner, softener, and grooming aid for hair and scalp that uses panthenol and plant derived proteins to impart shine to the hair and aids in the maintenance of the quality, softness, and condition of the hair and scalp. This product is especially formulated to remain in the hair and does not need to be rinsed out.

With my choppy Park Slope created hair there are days that I just want to let my hair air dry. But that doesn't mean I want my hair to look like it. I want it to be "styled" but look as if I just woke up that way. A few spray of this Kiehl's creation gets the look done. My hair is manageable and falls in just that easy way after application. Put it on dry hair for styling or wet hair for conditioning.
